1977 and June sees the publication of the first issue of the White Dwarf magazine which superseded Ian Livingstone and Steve Jackson's earlier magazine The Owl and the Weasel. The pair, along with John Peake, also started the first major miniatures company (which would become Citadel Miniatures), and opened up the first dedicated FRP shop in 1977 in Hammersmith, London.
