2009 saw Wizard Books re-brand the series (as "Series 2") with a new cover layout and a fourth new title.[1] The series was numbered in a different order to that of both the Puffin Books and Wizard "Series 1" range (whose numbers are indicated in square brackets).

- 1st: Fanzine Fighting Fantazine issue 1 is published online, containing the mini adventure Resurrection of the Dead
- 2nd: The website Fightingfantasygamebooks.com is relaunched to coincide with the launch of "Series 2"
- 3rd: The Warlock of Firetop Mountain (#1 [#1/1]), The Citadel of Chaos (#2 [#2/2]), Deathtrap Dungeon (#3 [#6/3]) and Stormslayer (#4)
