The term Barbarian appears to be used in two senses in Fighting Fantasy. Firstly, it may be applied to any (usually Human) population which is considered to be culturally inferior by a more powerful, "civilised" neighbour. Secondly, and more specifically, it is a term applied to particular Human ethnic groups characterised by large physical stature and a rather primitive nomadic culture (at least compared with that of more "civilised" sedentary societies). However, it is not always clear which of these senses of Barbarian is intended in each case.

Barbarian Types[]

  • The term Barbarian is also used to describe one of the Races within the UK version of BattleCards which have been linked with a lost continent of Titan.
