A Carnivorous Ape is one of a species of enormous, three-metre tall gorillas.
Description[]
They have black fur, long muscular limbs, and abnormally sharp teeth. They are mainly found in the Cloudhigh Mountains in central Khul.[1] Some Carnivorous Apes have also been encountered in the Aeral Forest in North-East Khul. [2]
A few Carnivorous Apes have also been recorded in the wooded foothills of Crolia in the Old World.[3]
Origins and Distribution[]
It is not known if the Carnivorous Ape is a naturally-occuring creature, or if it was created after Humans were magically transformed into the creatures. It is known that former Humans were turned into Mutant Apes by the Portal of Evil who hunger for Human flesh.[1]
During the destruction of Limlai in Mauristatia, it was said that the gluttonous of the city transformed into Carnivorous Apes. This is believed to be the origin of the Old World Carnivorous Apes.[3]
