The Caverns of Ishtra are where Ishtra made his base in the late third century AC, in caverns under the forest of Affen.

These caverns marked the eastern extent of the march of the legions of evil during the Great War against Chaos, for in this cavern were the remains of a one of Brendan Bloodaxe's battalions from that war.
