Leigh Pamment, sculptor

Leigh Pamment (February 21 1970 to September 6 1996) was the sculptor behind at least eight of the Clarecraft Fighting Fantasy Ornaments.

Biography[]

Early Life[]

Leigh Pamment was born on 21 February 1970 in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, to Barry and Denise (nee Carter). He had an old sister, Louise Pamment. Attended Thurston Upper School from 1983 - 1986.

Career[]

Leigh Pamment, sometimes incorrectly referred to as "Lee", was a sculptor who was famous for his repertoire of Discworld ornaments and figurines, designed and sculpted for Clarecraft.

Leigh died in September 1996 aged just twenty-six. His death was described as an untimely and tragic loss.[1]

Clarecraft released a limited edition Discworld piece in memory of Leigh Pamment, limited to 1000 pieces.[2] He had, in fact, been working on this piece before he tragically died. The piece was the large Discworld, with detailed depictions of the geography of that world as described in the books of Terry Pratchett. Leigh's uncle John added the finishing touches (the seas and continents).
