A Smoke Demon was a hideous, charred demon wreathed in tendrils of smoke.
Description[]
The creature's humanoid body was one of tough, lean muscle, but was so burnt, and its countenance so skeletal, that the creature looked more like like one of the undead. Its flesh was also mottled with foul, suppurating welts and sores, further giving the appearance that its body has been ravaged by deep burning.[1]
The smoke surrounding the Demon was blue in colour, and gave the creature an advantage. It would cost any adversaries fighting the creature, as the demon's opponent would have to struggle to fight through the noxious fumes.[1]
They smelled of brimstone and burning flesh.
Origins and Distribution[]
They were sometimes summoned by spellcasters of a demonic disposition to cause havoc, by destroying or killing.
History[]
The sage Tasrin was slain by a smoke demon summoned by the evil wizard Zeverin.
