Origins and DistributionEdit
Fogwalkers are a type of plague-carrying Undead that historically ravaged the village of Penkhull, north of Blackhaven, shortly after the War of the Four Kingdoms. Their appearance here was linked to the arch-villain Karam Gruul, and it may be that his Notura sorceries were in some way responsible for the creation of the Fogwalkers.
It is not known if Fogwalkers exist in recent times, but given the virulence of the disease they carry, it is likely that they still dwell in the more isolated parts of the Badlands, occasionally re-infecting isolated villages and hamlets.
- Fogwalkers carry the Fogwalker Plague. Anyone who fights a Fogwalker in combat must roll one die after the battle. On a roll of 6, they have contracted the Fogwalker Plague and perish immediately.
- Fogwalkers are not bothered by fire, which has little effect on their plague-ravaged skin.
- Fogwalkers will retreat in fear from the sound of a ringing bell.
- Fogwalkers take their name from their habit of appearing in a village following the onset of a wall of fog surrounding the village outskirts. It is not known whether they control the sudden appearance of this fog, or are merely taking advantage of it to infect as many hapless villagers as possible.
