Otto was the friend and servant of the Vampire Hunter, Henrik van der Termlen of Mauristatia, with whom he travelled to Far Analand on the return of Count Reiner Heydrich.

Otto was poisoned to death by Henrik's enemies the day before Henrik himself was murdered in a village outside of Gummport.
