The Planes of Existence describe the many planes that make up the world of Titan and the universe in which it resides.
One description describes the planes of Titan as "cocooning the planet and extending out from it like the concentric layers of an onion, except that these layers lie in dimensions beyond the physical three with which we are familiar."
References in CanonEdit
Reference to the various Planes of Existence is a favourite device of many of the authors of the Fighting Fantasy series, although the way in which they are referred to is varied and numerous.
The Different PlanesEdit
Planes referred to within canon include:

In terms of how these planes interact with each other, scholars have little in the way of a definitive classification to draw upon from canon. A notable attempt was made on The Shrine of Hamaskis website and there follows a summary of this attempt:
PLEASE NOTE, AS DESCRIBED IN THE PARAGRAPH IMMEDIATELY ABOVE, THE FOLLOWING IS NOT OFFICIAL CANON BUT AN ATTEMPT TO EXPLAIN WHAT HAS BEEN WRITTEN IN CANON WITHOUT CONTRADICTING CANON ITSELF
The planes "are too many to count, mortal scholars and seers have divided them into collections which possess similar qualities. Some of these are then subdivided into smaller classes, and so on ad infinitum."
The following list may provide some helpful information concerning the currently favoured classification of the planes of existence. There are three Primary Planes:
The intersections of the Primary Planes form the secondary planes which are of the most interest in classifications.
Creation of the PlanesEdit
When the first beings in the universe, Elim, Ashra and Vuh, created the worlds, they also formed the planes of existence, and just as they were each responsible for one of the families of deities, so they each had a particular affinity for one of the planes, as shown below.
|Secondary Plane||Primary Planes||Native Inhabitants||Notes|
|Celestial||Astral||The gods of Titan and their divine servants||None|
|Ethereal||Astral and Physical||Ethereal Spirits||Ethereal Oil exists on both the corporeal and ethereal planes|
|Corporeal||Physical||Physical Beings||The plane which we are currently inhabiting|
|Elemental||Physical and Magical||Elemental Spirits||None|
|Demonic||Magical||Demons||Also known as the Pit|
