The Potion of Fortune is an extremely valued commodity among the adventuring population, being particularly prized by those who "lack" fortune.

Their effect is to increase the Initial luck score of the drinker by 1 point and restore their current luck value to that new level.

Often, especially in early Fighting Fantasy gamebooks, one of the first choices a player made was between taking a Potion of Fortune, a Potion of Strength or a Potion of Skill.
