The Purity Plant has been mentioned as a rare herb taken by the merchant Ganga of Mirewater to trade with the witches of Dree.^[1]

It is also found in the herb gardens of the Toad Men of the Bu Fon Fen, and mysteriously associated with the number 81. This plant:

“

has leaves which are perfect circles, red in colour. As you watch, one of the leaves drops into the river. The leaf seems to have some purifying effect: as soon as it touches the water, all cloudiness is gone from the area around the leaf; the water becomes crystal clear until disturbed by the flow of the current.[2]

”

Used in cleansing balms, and possibly also in conducting consecrations, and as a component of Holy Water.^[3]
