|Habitat||Hills, Plains, Towns (Old World)|
Physically, Red-Eyes are thin, spindly looking humanoids distantly related to Elves and Humans. They are arrogant by nature and delight in causing trouble among the communities they inhabit in order to start a fight. Anyone who engages a Red-Eye must be extremely careful, as they have a powerful natural weapon. Most of the time a Red-Eye keeps his eyes tightly shut, for when he opens them, he can shoot powerful bolts of energy from them.
Red-Eyes are very arrogant and disdainful towards members of other intelligent races, most particularly Humans. In turn, their volatile temper and their baleful eyes make them undesireable in orderly societies, forcing them into a nomad existence. Only in places where the dregs of society merge can they find a place to stay, such as in the cityport of Kharé.
Each time a Red-Eye suffers a wound in combat, it will open its eyes and shoot at its opponent. On receiving its first wound the Red-Eye's shot can be avoided by rolling 1-5 on one die. The second blast can be avoided on a D6 roll of 1-4, and so on until the shot hits automatically. Each shot that hits causes a D6 of stamina damage; if a Red-Eye's deadly vision hits the same person twice, he will die.
