In Mauristatian folklore, a Shiversprite is one of the elemental spirits that serves Grandfather Winter, the personification of this most inhospitable season.

As with all such beings, it delights in freezing everything it encounters, including anyone unfortunate enough to encounter it, although uttering its name allows a person to command it to leave them be.

It typically adopts a humanoid form, stick-thin and apparently constituted entirely of ice, with sharp spikes extending themselves from every possible joint and angle, making Shiversprite a visually terrifying opponent for those that elect to defend themselves with force, even when its natural magical powers are not taken into consideration.
