The Battlegrounds are the vast lands to the north of the Wastes of Chaos in Khul where the ash plains peter out into a barren sandy heath dotted with ruined towers, walls and other military constructions.

It is a pleasant area of grassland but here and there are bare patches were nothing grows and which animals will not cross. It is said that these are the places where the dead warriors of Chaos are buried, their spirits wandering the plains howling out for resurrection.
