Werne is the Chief armourer in the citadel in Ruddlestone.

He was tutored in his trade by the armourer Rastin.^[1] Werne is a "broad, well-built man", and is usually seen "stripped to the waist and wearing a leather apron".^[2]

His armoury, where he works with a team of weaponsmiths, metallurgists and engineers, is in a cellar beneath the citadel, and it is here that they make and repair weapons and armour for the Templar Knights.^[2]
