Windswept Moor is a desolate area just outside of Forrin, once home to the mighty Hornhelm.[1]
It is an area of grassland dotted with patches of deciduous and coniferous trees.[1] Several rivers course through the area. Rocky outcrops and standing stones dot there. Despite its climate, the area is also described as having a "stark beauty".[1] It said anyone who looks in the waters of Windswept Moor will see a reflection, not of his or her physical body, but their very soul.[1]
A large number of castles are located in Windswept Moor. There is also a windmill located here.[1]
Hornhelm buried his treasure in Windswept Moor. He left clues to its location with his widow Serendra, with a warning to treasure hunters: "The Spirit of Hornhelm will haunt forever those who dig for selfish gain. Whatever is to be found belongs rightfully to the people of Forrin."[1]
