You are the Hero was funded via a Kickstarter campaign run by the author,[1] which ran between December 8th, 2012 and January 7th, 2013 and with the aim of raising £15,000 to cover the writing, editing, layout, various copyrights, and artwork necessary to see the book through to completion. In the end, the campaign raised £21,421 which allowed for a hardback edition of the book to be produced.
